Mud cloths originate in Mali and are an important part of the Malian culture and history. Their name is Bogolanfini, which broken down means “mud with cloth”. These textiles get their name from the dying method in which the fabric is caked with natural mud to give them their earthy tones.
Mud cloths make beautiful blankets, table runners, or bed throws. Unlike many of the vibrant African textiles, these give your home a global flare while sticking with a more neutral color palette.
