Tuareg Leather Wall Hanging

Out of stock

Dimensions: Approx: 32″ x 20″

These beautiful bohemian leather wall hangings are truly unique art!

Tuareg is a term used to refer to the nomadic Berber tribes of the Western Sahara. Tuareg camel caravans played a major role in the trans-Saharan trade until the mid 20th century when more modern methods took over.

These pieces are vintage and each piece is handmade and unique. They were used as tent decoration and window coverings in their desert camps. The Tuareg bags were used to carry food and water and were worn by the Berber men and camels.

I sourced these pieces in a Morocco but they were originally made in Niger or Mali.

May have imperfections- which is part of the charm of handmade and vintage textiles and art. Please look at the photos carefully before purchasing.
